I view myself as being a part of the long tradition of Western still life painters. My work has ranged from a somewhat formal approach (evidenced in the 1999 show at the Po Gallery), to my most recent endeavors, which have spanned the past fifteen years or so. This work expresses overt narratives that are derived through symbolism. Within this current vein of work, my long-held interest in the human form has been incorporated via the use of toy figures, statuettes, trophy toppers and photographs as subject matter. The human figure still holds great interest for me and will continue to play an important role in my development of ideas and work.
